A Hebrew calendar and a NASA dating website should be used when accurately looking for these dates in "real time history."  Too many "hammers" have been used over the years by "well meaning" or deceitful students trying to force these "pieces" together.  Let's not follow in their steps.   (These prophecies were to be "revealed in the end times" and without the recent excavations, vocabulary knowledge, and satellite planetary dating technology, etc. it was impossible for anyone to figure Daniel's or Nebuchadnezzar's dreams accurately  * Remember that the Hebrew calendar has normally 360 days and has an extra 30 day month (Adar Bet) like a Leap Year Day added at times.   The current Jewish way of figuring dates is done according to rabbi Hillel II's calculations done around 350 C.E. after the dispersion.  The original way was set according to the ripeness of the barley grain crop.  This was essential because it had to be ripe before it could be ground into flour for the sacrifice required during the spring Feast of Firstfruits.  That is the Feast Day on which Yah'shua rose from the grave.  (Remember how at the Last Supper He said His body is the Bread and His blood is the wine.  Mark 14: 22-25)

    **Many of today's Christians claim that they are "authorized to change the Sabbath" from the last day of the week because Yah'shua did in fact rise from the grave on the first day of the week.   However,  (in Lev. 23: 11)  when Moses is instructing the Children of Israel on how to institute and worship on "the day after the ....weekly....Sabbath"... (the week Passover falls in)...(our current Sunday) about the Firstfruits observances we believe YHWH knew that His Son Yah'shua would rise from the grave and literally BE THE FIRST of the FRUIT.  Since he uses the word Sabbath in these instructions, it seems obvious that if He wanted to Change Sabbath Day to Commemorate this Feast of Firstfruits occasion, He would have told us then and there about it.  Kind of like, "oh, and by the way, when My Son rises on that day "after the Sabbath" go ahead and move the Sabbath to that day."  Da.....we don't see that and we are sure YHWH knew what He was doing!   Go figure!    (Dan. 2:19-22, John. 5: 42-47,  Matt. 7:13-23,  Luke 10:2-16, John 10:1-38)  Yah'shua will judge you....not the Popes that have supported these earlier changes by Constantine the Great Idiot because he wanted harmony in his Empire or your pastors who refuse to review the "evidence' for fear of upsetting their "apple carts!"  The evidence is Sunday was named to honor the various sun god deities that permeated the Roman world.   (SOUNDS ALOT LIKE JOHN'S ANTI-CHRIST TO US! 1 John 2:18-26)          

    You can see that Yah'shua was not born on the day venerated by Sun worshipers which in the old Roman Julian Calendar (from 46 B.C.) was December 25 or the day of the winter solstice.  The beginning of the "re-birth" of the sun or NEW YEAR by PAGAN reckoning was December 25th our current 21st.   Yahshua was born in the fall of 3 B.C.E..   Yah'shua  received the Holy Spirit in 27 C.E. when being Mikvah'ed/Baptized by John in the Jordan River.  (Lk. 3:21-23, & Matt. 3)  ***Note:  Prior to this Yah'shua had no "supernatural powers" and was protected by angels.  John baptized for ritual cleansing like what was done at the temple Mikvahs or wash pools before anyone could enter the temple area. (Acts 21 :24-26)  Only this once, during John's baptism of Yah'shua, was there a "supernatural" endowment of the Holy Spirit/Ruach ha Kodesh onto anyone.  Yah'shua allowed his disciples to baptize with water like John did (Jn. 4: 1-2) during his lifetime.  The disciples weren't "passed" the Holy Spirit until after Yah'shua's resurrection from the grave.  (Acts 1: 4-8, 2: 1-4, Lk. 24:46-53, Mark 16: 14-20, Matt. 28: 16-20)    
   
    The current or Gregorian Calendar (from 1582 A.D.) now fixes the solstice on December 21.  The days of shortening daylight ended and the spring cycle towards longer sunlight begins on this day.      ****The sun's light and heat were vital for crop germination, growth and preservation drying, thus was worshiped  by "Fertility Cults" for its "Magical Abilities."  Since evergreen trees, holly, and mistletoe all continued to live throughout the cold winter months they were used "for their supposed magical properties" in these pagan solstice religious ceremonies where the valuable sun was worshiped.  They worshiped the created and not the Creator!  (Deut. 17:2-5, ...ouch "punished by stoning" and...Genesis 1:14-19...says the fourth day the sun was created...not the first day.....so these people wanted to place their sun god on the first day of the week to give it the HIGHEST HONOR) 

     However, the date of December 25 continued to be celebrated as Yah'shua's birthday.    CUSTOMS ARE SO HARD TO BREAK and Satan just loves to disguise "things," especially when "we think of them!"  Now, centuries later, we are dumb to the origin of the choice of this date and it's "not even" on the winter solstice anymore.    Ha Ha..............who's that laughing?  (Proverbs 19:2, Jeremiah 10:1-4 ..."LEARN NOT THE WAY OF THE HEATHEN.....THEY CUT TREES....AND DECK IT WITH SILVER AND GOLD", Exodus 34:10-15..."A TERRIBLE THING WILL I DO WITH THEE......for WHORING", Isaiah 57:1-12...."IDOLS UNDER GREEN TREES...SONS OF SORCERESSES, ADULTERERS & WHORES".  Enough already, we pray!  Israelites were smart enough to know not to celebrate birthdays anyways.  Their yearly calendar had 360 to 390 days in it depending on a "leap 13th month" being added because it was required for the grain offering to reach 'full ripeness or maturity' for the spring Feast of Firstfruits offerings.   (Leviticus 2:14)

                       According to Colliers Encyclopedia:

     "After the triumph of Constantine the church, at Rome, assigned December 25th as the date of the celebration of the feast, possibly about A.D. 320 or 353.   By the end of the fourth century the whole Christian world was celebrating Christmas on that day.  The choice of December 25 was probably influenced by the fact that on this day the Romans celebrated the Mithraic Feast of the Sun god, Natalis Solis Invictus, the Natalis or birthday of Sol Invictus."

     Yah'shua, was more than likely born in the fall because John the Baptist was born on Passover (spring-time) and Yah'shua's Mother Mary conceived six months after her cousin Elizabeth, John's Mother.  (Luke 1:36)   In Luke chapter 1:5 we read that John's Father Zacharias served in the Temple with the course of Abia-'jah'. 

      In 1 Chronicles 24:10 we see that the group of Priests assigned to Abia-jah was the eighth of twenty-four groupings.  On the first Sabbath of the first Hebrew month  (Abib/ (Exodus 12:2, 13:3-4, 23:13-15, & Deut. 16:1-2) or Nissan after the Babylonian captivity) the first group, Jehoiarab, would begin serving. (Lev. 12:12-27)  By breaking the 24 courses down into 12 months it can be assumed that the eighth course would be serving in about the third to fourth month from spring, not January. (couldn't be more than 72 days into the year)  So, John's Father could have been serving on the Feast of Shavuot or Pentecost either with his Abia-jah group or as one of all the Priests chosen by lot to burn incense in the temple.  (Luke 1:8-13)  Zacharias returned to his home and to his wife Elisabeth where she conceived John the Baptist. (Luke 1:23-36)  The point being that that would be getting into summer and a spring birth would be expected followed six months later by Mary bearing Yah'shua in the fall during the Feast of Sukkot/Tabernacles.    ***** All the Priests served on the three Feasts that required all males to attend.   (Unleavened Bread to Firstfruits, Weeks or Pentecost and Tabernacles....Deut. 16:16)  
This Law of YHWH through Moses and mentioned again in the New Testament (Hebrews 10:25-28) is often used by Rabbis and Christian Preachers to require Sabbath or Sunday "community meetings."  In verse 28 it clearly states that those despising "Moses' Law" should die without mercy.  Where in either the Old or New Testaments is there a Moses' Law requiring weekly Sabbath assembly anywhere but in the home?  (Exodus 16:15-30.....the words "place" used in verse 29 are (according to Strong's Concordance) Hebrew # 8478..'tahat'...meaning ROOM or UNDERNEATH (tent?) and # 4725..'maqom'...meaning SITE (Campsite?) and PLACE (like your place of abode))
******HINT:  You can't make money unless you can "get them to come."   Of course, this breaks the real Moses' Law to rest and fellowship with YHWH and Yah'shua at home with your family duplicating YHWH's vision of heavenly things being done on earth with the Father as head/priest (Genesis 2:26-31, & 3:16 ) of the family.   The home....(Genesis 2:1-3 .."sanctified" # 6942..'qadas'...TO SHOW ONESELF HOLY OR PURE....TO SET APART UNTO YHWH/FATHER)   Yah'shua prays and teaches us to pray for this in Luke 11:2  which just happens to be "The Lord's Prayer!" 

    Obviously, there have been other more laborious studies done to "support" this idea.  (See also our "Festivals of YHWH" page and scroll to near the bottom where the Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot is discussed.)

    As you research for yourself, led by the Holy Spirit, you'll find MANY DATES and MANY NAMES can be "associated" with this study.  So briefly, we feel that Cyrus (whose name means 'the sun')   (of II Chron. 36: 22-23)   is in fact the son or son-in-law of a Persian King named Cambyses or known also as Darius.   *Artaxerxes and Darius are titles like Herod, king, czar or caesar so this is confusing.    Cyrus was probably defeated the Medes  around 556-560 B.C.  He died in 530 B.C.  ** When rulers of small nation states defeated neighboring or larger empires they many times assumed the titles of the other nations' rulers which adds to the confusion of sorting them out and dating their activities.  Sometimes new titles emerged.  Suffice it to say, we identify this Cyrus (the Great) as being buried at his capital city Pasargadae, Persia (Pasargad, Iran) about 530 B.C.  See: Wikipedia     Our starting date of 457 B.C.E  is nearer to Nehemiah's and Artaxerxes Longimanus' times.   He supposedly ruled from 465 to 424 B.C.E. when he died and was buried in the multi-grave at Naqshe-e Rustam......possibly Pasargadae where Cyrus was entombed.   So, the questions are whose decree, when and to whom is Daniel's prophecy referring?   

   From the decree, "to rebuild Jerusalem, its walls and temple," there were many years and several attempts by several groups and leaders to accomplish this.  The most notable were Zerubbabal, Ezra, Haggai and Nehemiah.  ******* The custom of the Medes and other kingdoms was that once a decree was made by a ruler it could not be rescinded or changed by him or another ruler later.  This would bring shame as the RULERS were gods and couldn't make mistakes.  (read the Book of Esther where her husband, the King was tricked into making a decree and countered by making another that equalized the first without having to rescind the one made to Haman and also Daniel Chapter 3:5-6 & 6:12-28 where Daniel was placed in the lion's den.)  So, years after Cyrus' decree Nehemiahas was able to finish the Jerusalem "project" about 408 B.C.E. with help from the 'current' King.   The LAMB/Yah'shua was sacrificed 434 years later at Passover in 27 C.E.  (If the shoes fit wear them.  The best we can guarantee is an acceptable 'ballpark' date.)  Watch day and night because we are close to Yah'shua's RETURN and SATAN is on a tear.  He's like most Christians that mix-in pagan practices.  He hopes God will allow a democratic process to rule.  Satan needs your vote.  However, it's as worthless then as now.  Yah'shua's a KING with His Father YHWH's laws to uphold.   ONLY THESE GUARANTEE ETERNAL LIFE.   LIKE NOW, POISON KILLS!

   Since, the building project was in various stages this, as the Angel Gabriel told Daniel, would be confusing and NOT ABLE to be understood until the 'END TIMES." ********Note Gabriel is only mentioned four times in scripture and all four times they ONLY deal with this prophecy about dating the BIRTH of the MESSIAH and ANOINTING HIM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT.  Gabriel gives Daniel the "message" for this timeline but tells him to "seal it up" or that it's contents would remain unknown until later times.  In the message, there are several prophecies about differing events at different times.  DON'T expect them all to happen at once.

His decree is found in Acts 15:19-29.   It dealt with physical and spiritual cleanliness.  (Most non-Jews led unsanitary lifestyles.  Many were barbarians, such as soldiers and slaves captured from wilderness areas.)   In short, he says, anyone may listen to our teachings but to enter into the Way of the Fellowship and become a follower, they must do certain things 'first.'   Here are James' words as recorded in Acts.  Do you still follow them or do you just let 'any sinner' into your home or God's home to ravish and pollute the 'sheep?'  The culture now as then was and is pretty 'sordid.'  YES, we have to witness to anyone that will hear but a lot of people are called but few 'really answer' the call and repent and start with a new 'born again lifestyle.'  James' advice was to make 'the unclean' make changes in their lives as they learned but to be cautious of those professing faith without real repentance and sincere change of heart and action.  A man with two masters can only serve one faithfully.  (Matt 6:24)     

      Acts 15:19-29     "Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Jews and Gentiles abroad seek YHWH through his Son Yah'shua:  (20)  But that we write unto them, that they abstain from the pollutions of idol worship, such as fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood eating.  (21)  For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach Moses' Law (in synagogues) every Sabbath day.  ( Genesis 2:2-3, Lev. 23:3 The last day of the week or 7th day is the Sabbath, sunset to sunset, and was kept until The Roman Sun worshipers wanted to honor their 'god' over Jehovah/YHWH when the 'religions' were "OFFICIALLY MERGED" under Constantine the Great in the early Fourth Century AD.  So, the "last day Sabbath" was changed to the "first day Sun worshiper sabbath." )  (22)  Then pleased it the Apostles and Elders, with the WHOLE CHURCH,  to send Chosen Men with their own company "of believers" to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, Chief Men from the brethren:   (23)  And letters accompanied these Men after this manner:  The Apostles, Elders and brethren at Jerusalem send greetings unto the Brethren which are of the Gentiles (both Jews living outside Israel and non-Jews seeking to join in Fellowship) in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:  (24)  forasmuch as we have heard, that certain believers went out from Jerusalem and have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, "ye must be circumcised, and keep the 'Pharisee's Laws': to whom we gave no such commandment:  (25)  It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord to send Chosen Men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Messiah Yah'shua.  (27)  We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you these same things by mouth. (28)  For it seemed good to the Ruach ha Kodesh (Holy Spirit), and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these NECESSARY THINGS;  (29)  THAT YOU ABSTAIN FROM MEATS OFFERED TO IDOL gods, AND FROM EATING BLOOD AND FROM THINGS STRANGLED (non Kosher), AND FROM FORNICATION: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well as beginning students.  Fare thee well."

Why is Acts 15:19-29 relevant today as practiced in Jerusalem and taught by the FIRST Disciples to those living outside of Israel who missed seeing or hearing Jesus' Mission when He lived?  Adonai's answer is in Leviticus 17:10-14.

And whatsoever man there of the House of Israel, OR OF THE STRANGERS THAT SOJOURN AMONG YOU, that eateth any manner of BLOOD; I WILL EVEN SET MY FACE AGAINST THAT SOUL THAT EATETH BLOOD AND WILL CUT HIM OFF FROM AMONG MY PEOPLE.  (11)  For the LIFE of the FLESH is in the BLOOD: and I have given IT TO YOU UPON THE ALTER TO MAKE AN ATONEMENT FOR THE SOUL.  (12)  There I SAID unto the Children of Israel, NO SOUL OF YOU SHALL EAT BLOOD, NEITHER SHALL ANY STRANGER (goy) THAT SOJOURN AMONG YOU EAT BLOOD.  (13)  And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel or of the OTHER NATIONS THAT LIVE AMONG YOU IN FELLOWSHIP, which hunteth and catches any clean beast or fowl, ('edible Biblically' Lev. 11:1-47); ye shall pour out the blood thereof,and cover it with soil. (14)  FOR IT IS THE LIFE OF ALL FLESH; THE BLOOD OF IT IS FOR THE LIFE THEREOF: THEREFOR I SAID UNTO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, YE SHALL NOT EAT THE BLOOD OF ANY FLESH: FOR THE LIFE OF ALL FLESH IS THE BLOOD THEREOF: WHOSOEVER EATETH IT SHALL BE CUT OFF.

     THE BLOOD OF YAH'SHUA/JESUS IS OUR SALVATION AND MUCH MORE PRECIOUS THAN THAT OF ANIMALS. 

TAKKANAH:  (as defined by the Concise Dictionary of Judaism edited by Dagobert D. Runes and copyrighted 1959)  "(Improvement...Special supplementary ordinance designated to strengthen observance of Jewish Law and Morals")   In other words, Jewish scholars have over centuries, interpreted and adapted 'the written words' of the Old Testament to fit their "religion."  Notice in the above definition, "Jewish law and Morals," and not YHWH's as given to Moses and the prophets.  

These are what Yah'shua was mainly confronted about by the Scribes, Pharisees and Sadducees .  They had made-up many 'rules' while in Babylon, etc. that were not Biblical.  Many of these 'office holders' were not true descendants of Abraham and had acquired their offices through bribery, gentile bloodlines from previous rulers' edicts,etc. and migrations into the area when the Israelites were away in captivities.

Examples, of these, given in the Gospels but usually misunderstood by Christians, because of a lack of understanding "Jewish rituals," as in Matt. 15:1-20, John 7:12-49, Luke 11:37-54, and Matt 23:1-10 where Jesus is accused of Law Breaking by the 'officials.'  Yah'shua explained that when the Law of Moses is read in the synagog that this is YHWH"s Law and that  this was to be obeyed but to ignore the Takkanah which was written in the Talmud, Cabala and other Rabbinical Writings 'made-up' over the years. Jews do ritual hand washing with special water pots in prescribed order. These are what the 'officials' were accusing  Him and the disciples of, not doing the foolish rules and not having 'soiled' hands as most Christians think.

Not to seem prejudiced or 'finger pointing" but ......many Christians have also added 'many rules' to scripture and have, more importantly, 'done away' with many rules that are found in scripture since the time Yah'shua ascended to heaven.  (Matt 5:16-19)

From the time of the first two sins, blood has been used in the atoning or forgiveness process. (Gen. 3:21)  YHWH made clothes to hide or cover Adam's and Eve's nakedness after they ate of the forbidden tree of knowledge.  We read that YHWH covered them in skins.  We know that animals don't willingly give up their skins so we must assume that they were slain first.  This pattern has been duplicated many times over the centuries by many different cultures.  Of course, Satan has perverted this 'concept' and has demanded his own blood sacrifices over the years as well.    (Gen. 3:7)  Adam and Eve tried to hide their sin nakedness with fig leaves.  It was a meaningless offering as YHWH already had His Son Yah'shua's Blood waiting to purge sin from mankind.  

John the Baptist, upon seeing Yah'shua approaching him, said, "Behold the Lamb of YHWH which taketh away the sins of the world."  (John 1:29)  Jesus, as the Son of Almighty YHWH, (Luke 3:22) fulfilled the sacrifice Abraham mistakenly tried to use his son Isaac for on the same mountain years earlier.  Abraham's attempt was largely ceremonial and showed his obedience to YHWH.  Isaac was rejected because he was born from and into sin.  YHWH supplied a ram from the bushes for Abraham's nation's sin to give them a 'fresh start.'  (Gen. 22:8-13)  This lesson was used to show Abraham that he and his descendents could look forward to a 'future' salvation when a distant tribesman would be born to a virgin girl and sacrificed for every man's sins.  YHWH was the Father of this future perfect sacrifice. Yah'shua entered the world 'spotless' and remained so until the time appointed, first shown and ceremonially replayed for centuries in the Feast of Passover observances, administered by Moses in the Egypt exodus. (Exodus 12:5 & Luke 23:4)  Jesus showed that His blood was the blood from the foundation of the earth, able to overcome sin or death by returning to life three days after being declared 'officially' dead. (John 19:35 & Luke 24:33-34)  Once risen from the dead, Yah'shua was able to teach many things that He'd been unable to teach prior to His crucifixion.  Although, Peter had heard the Words, he'd been unable to understand or believe.  This is why Jesus asked him the same three times that Peter had denied him, before the cock crowed, if he now "loved Him." (John 21:4-18 & Luke 10:25-28)  We MUST love YHWH and righteousness before EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD, which is now Babylon!

We must remember that when Yah'shua healed many people, He would tell them to "go and sin no more."  (John 5:1-16 & chapter 8)  This teaches us that much of the sickness and disease in His time was caused by sinning.   We are to be  Holy or clean before YHWH and abide outside of the sin of the world.  Believers are to follow Abraham's ways and not be pagans or unclean like heathens.  Please do not return to the dogs' vomit.  (Proverbs 26:8-12 & 2 Peter chapter 2)  Be holy and sanctified, set apart as an example of right living once having been forgiven and cleaned-up by Yah'shua' grace.   Please keep your dress white as best your can. (Rev. 3:3-5)  This is not 'legalism.'  we should love YHWH with our whole hearts and not want to return to our old 'filthy' lifestyles just so we, as little foolish babies, can cry out to be cleaned-up again over and over.  We should be grown up enough to 'try' to keep clean for our witness and for our 'overworked' Saviour.  Don't be squeaky clean outside but filthy inside.  (Matt 23:17-35)  Why would Jesus say, "go and sin no more" if it were not possible to sin after His forgiveness?  Sin is to miss the mark or 'bull's eye' as in archery.  You are either in or out of the target.  There is no maybe area.

In life, Yah'shua acted out several  prophetic 'pictures' that the Tenach (trilogy of the Torah, Prophets, and Writings or Old Testament) had taught or prophesied that He'd do in order to identify or present His credentials to us. This is what the "Lord's Feasts" from Leviticus chapter 23 are all about specifically.  His Passover Death Enactment was portrayed in the Israelite Exodus and elsewhere.  The lambs' blood used on the doorposts of the Israelite residences and the lambs eaten before sunrise (Exodus 12:7-13) were 'shadow pictures' of the Messiah's salvation blood letting experience.  When the temple's veil was torn it opened us to the Melchizedek Priesthood that Yah'shua occupies today. ( Luke 23:45 & Acts 7:49) 

The Point, we are getting at, is YHWH's reverence for BLOOD.  It holds a special place for Him.  He says, "life is in the blood."  (Lev. 17:10-16)  He seems to mean physical life here on earth and redemptive life in the eternal existence are both dependent upon blood, both our own and His Son's.  We are not to profane any of it by shedding it wastefully or by eating and consuming it.  This applies to both Abraham's descendents and to all others seeking to follow YHWH & Yah'shua's WAY. (Romans 11:13-36)

Many "false teachers" either ignorantly or as "wolves in sheep's clothing" are settled "like tares among the true fruit."      (Matt 7:15-29)  Jesus makes it perfectly clear that the Laws of Moses and the Prophecies of Old will co-exist forever.     (Matt 5:10-20)  I'd believe Jesus and take Him at His WORD when He says clearly, "think not that I come to destroy the LAW or the PROPHETS: I am not come to destroy, but to Fulfill.  For verily I say unto you until heaven and earth PASS AWAY, one jot or one title (Hebrew punctuation marks) shall in NO WISE PASS FROM THE LAW, TIL ALL BE FULFILLED.  Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the LEAST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN: but whosover shall DO AND TEACH THEM, THE SAME SHALL BE CALLED GREAT IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.  For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, (teachers) ye shall in "NO CASE" ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN."  (Remember now, JESUS IS SPEAKING, SO THERE IS NO NEW TESTAMENT WRITTEN YET, TO CONFUSE ANYONE BY 'FALSE PREACHER' EXCUSES OR SPIN DOCTOR, ITCHY EAR RHETORIC ABOUT LEGALISM.

SO, THE QUESTION IS: Do we believe Jesus, the WORD ITSELF, testified by John the Baptist, (John 1:1 & John 1:14-17} or someone, anyone else. (like a guru, rabbi, Pope, preacher, etc.)  We suggest, since Yah'shua/Jesus is the JUDGE, (Rev.14:6-7) as God in 'the Trinity Context,' your best defense (if needed) would be to quote Him and say, "but you said" rather than, I didn't think you knew what you were talking about so I listened to the 'learned Brother so and so' instead.  After ALL, Jesus did WARN US about "another that would come in his own name that many would believe."  (John 5:36-47)
